ABOUT ME
I believe one of the most precious things in life is being truly listened to. My role is to offer you a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore what you’re experiencing and work collaboratively towards the changes you want to make. As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs. Whether you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, self-critical, struggling with relationships or simply at a crossroads in life, counselling can help you gain greater clarity, confidence and trust in yourself.
My Style of therapy
I am an integrative therapist, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches to create a way of working that is tailored to you, rather than expecting you to fit into one particular model of therapy. My approach incorporates humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), depending on what feels most helpful for your individual circumstances. Therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we can explore the experiences, relationships, thoughts and patterns that may be affecting how you feel today. Whether you are seeking bereavement counselling, support with a relationship, struggling with anxiety or depression, or simply feeling stuck at a crossroads in life, our sessions provide time and space to understand what is happening beneath the surface. For couples, I offer a supportive environment where both people can feel heard and understood, helping you explore communication, relationship difficulties and the patterns that may be creating distance or conflict. There is no single way to experience therapy, and there is no fixed timeline for healing. I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, with the pace and focus shaped around your needs. Sessions are available in person near Dover, as well as online via Zoom and by telephone, with home visits available by special arrangement.
